We believe that when people feel valued, supported, and empowered, great things happen. As a new company with a bold vision for sustainable impact across mining, renewable energy, and forestry, we’re intentionally building a work culture where diverse voices shape our future, and every employee can thrive.

We know that inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a strategic advantage. It fuels innovation, enhances decision-making, strengthens teamwork, and helps us build trust with the global communities we serve. We’re committed to making this foundation part of our identity from day one.

OUR INCLUSION STORY

From the beginning, we knew that inclusion needed to be more than a corporate initiative,  it had to be a core value, embedded in everything we do. In 2025, as we laid the groundwork for Global E.I. Trust, we formally adopted inclusionas one of our founding values, alongside safety, sustainability, accountability, and integrity.

To drive this commitment, we established our first Inclusion & Belonging Council,  a diverse, cross-functional group of employees representing different geographies, identities, disciplines, and perspectives. This council serves as a think tank and action group, helping shape our culture, guide leadership decisions, and elevate employee experiences.

OUR COMMITMENT TO ACTION

We’ve built our inclusion efforts around three pillars:
🔹 Leaders — inclusive leadership starts at the top
🔹 People — every employee deserves access, opportunity, and respect
🔹 Culture — inclusion must be lived, felt, and practiced every day

We measure our progress with annual employee surveys, feedback sessions, and open forums. We use this data to shape our programs, and we stay committed to listening, learning, and adapting.

🔹 LEADERS

Our goal is to grow inclusive, courageous leaders who create safe, equitable spaces for their teams to contribute and grow.

What we're doing:

  • Inclusive Leadership Training: We offer learning programs on psychological safety, managing bias, and building trust.

  • Accountability in Action: Senior leaders set inclusion-related goals annually and report on progress.

  • Tools for Team Conversations: We provide ready-to-use materials for managers to discuss inclusion and values in regular team settings.

  • Expert Partnerships: We work with DEI consultants and industry leaders to stay aligned with proven practices and evolving standards.

🔹 PEOPLE

We’re committed to building an environment where every person can develop, share ideas, and advance, free of bias, barriers, or inequity.

What we're doing:

  • Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: Our anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and equal opportunity policies are enforced consistently and backed by training for all employees.

  • Fair Hiring & Promotions: We use structured, competency-based processes for recruitment and advancement. Our resume screening tools are bias-reduced, and all non-executive roles are publicly posted for internal access.

  • Pay Equity Reviews: We regularly analyze pay data to ensure equity across roles, levels, and demographics.

  • Development for All: Our learning platform offers leadership and technical training, available to every employee. Mentorship and skill-building opportunities are open, accessible, and encouraged.

  • Emergency Relief Support: In partnership with an external nonprofit, our Employee Relief Fund provides support for team members facing crises — from natural disasters to personal hardship.

🔹 CULTURE

We're building a workplace where inclusion is felt not just stated. We want every employee to know they belong and that their identity, background, and experience make us better.

What we're doing:

  • Employee Resource Circles (ERCs): Voluntary, employee-led groups that foster community, promote cultural awareness, and support career growth. Open to all.

  • Inclusive Storytelling: Our internal blog and video series share real stories of inclusion, allyship, and impact across our teams and field sites.

  • Learning & Growth: Our online training hub includes hundreds of micro-learnings on inclusive leadership, emotional intelligence, bias, and communication.

  • Annual Inclusion Survey: Every year, we listen deeply through a companywide culture and inclusion survey. We use this insight to refine strategies and remove obstacles.

  • Celebrating Diversity: We recognize and celebrate global observances, cultural events, and inclusion milestones throughout the year.

OUR PROGRESS SO FAR

Though Global E.I. Trust is still in its early stages, we’ve already taken strong steps to lay a foundation of inclusion and belonging. Employees across sites, backgrounds, and roles are engaging in our council initiatives, sharing their stories, and shaping our policies.

We’ve seen a growing interest in our Employee Resource Circles, active participation in inclusive leadership training, and early indicators of cultural alignment from our first engagement surveys.

But we know real change takes ongoing effort, leadership commitment, and trust. We are in this for the long haul, learning, improving, and staying accountable as we grow into the inclusive, global company we aspire to be.
